CHILDREN'S SPORTS FACILITATOR - MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE

* Are you studying teaching, majoring in Health and Physical Education (PE) and wanting to gain experience working with children?

* Are you studying Sport and Recreation Management or currently undertaking a qualification in a related field?

* Do you participate in sport or have coaching experience?

* Are you passionate about improving children’s health?

...Then this is the position for you! The Position: Children’s Sports Facilitators deliver multi-skill physical activity programs and sport specific programs to primary school aged children in schools and the community. Programs are delivered during and after school hours and throughout school holidays. Stay Active provides staff with relevant resources, training and professional development opportunities. This position provides undergraduate students with invaluable experience working with children in a school environment. You will be provided with the opportunity to establish positive working relationships with school staff, OSHC staff, parents and members of the community. Position Requirements: Applicants must have a DCSI Child Related Employment Screening, driver’s license, access to their own vehicle and be able to provide the following certifications OR be willing to obtain if successful in gaining employment:

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Community Coaching General Principals (CCGP)

  • RAN-EC 2015-17 Full Day Training

  • Catholic Police Clearance (desirable)

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, outgoing, punctual and reliable and willing to deliver programs across all metropolitan locations. Prior coaching experience in any of the following sports will be highly regarded: Hockey, Tennis, Softball, Badminton, Baseball, Soccer, Touch Football, Volleyball.
